WHAT’S HAPPENING @ VBC

APRIL 3, 2024

VBC CHURCH OFFICE HOURS 9:00 A.M. - 1:30 P.M. MON-THU

ANNOUNCEMENTS

WELCOME HOME CLASS:  Our VBC orientation class is from 8:45-10:00 am. This will be in the Discipleship Room just down the hall from the Children’s Ministry check-in desk. New to the Church? Join Jim Ray as he guides us through who we are and what we believe.

MISSIONS COMMITTEE FUNDRAISER:   The Missions Committee will be sponsoring the spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Wednesday, April 10.  The meal will be prepared by Jean Powell - the fundraiser is for the group going up to Michigan to work at Pilgrim's Way with the Edlins. Please join us in giving a love offering to help this amazing retreat.

WOMEN'S MINISTRY:   All ladies and guests are invited to attend, “JESUS, ME, And A SPRING TEA” and Luncheon….Saturday, May 4, from 11:00-1:00 here at VBC in the fellowship hall.  Tickets are $5 and will go on sale, starting April 10, and continue each Wednesday and Sunday through April 28 at the Women’s Ministry table or from Julie Drake. The deadline to purchase tickets is April 28. No tickets will be sold at the door AFTER APRIL 28!! BEAUTIFUL LIVES will be sharing about their local boutiques and ministries. ****Please bring gently worn clothes, purses, shoes, and jewelry in BAGS (no hangers, please) to the Tea Party. We will donate all of the collected items to Beautiful Lives!  *** We are also looking for several more ladies to decorate a table ***

ATTENTION ALL LADIES:  VBC of Hot Springs Village is inviting all ladies from our VBC here in Bella Vista to join their Spring Retreat, on April 19TH & 20TH. Please see the Women’s Ministry table for information & sign-ups. Cost $25 + gas for the trip. Host homes are available.

WANTING TO SERVE? Do you have special skills with which to serve at VBC?  Skills such as electrical, mechanical, carpenter, seamstress, art, A/V, computing, web development, anything you are willing to offer. From time to time, we need assistance in areas and would love to provide opportunities to our folks instead of going outside.  Please contact the front office or a Trustee to discuss.

10:00 am-12:00 pm OASIS FOOD PANTRY serves +/- 250 families each month. 

5:30 pm POTBLESS bring your favorite dish to share.

6:15 pm PRAISE & PRAYER SERVICE Open to ALL! In the Fellowship Hall. The Children & Youth PreK-5th will meet in the Oasis. We are collecting babysitting referrals for the nursery. Dan Jackson will share the results of the survey.

7:00 pm CHOIR REHEARSAL Join us in the choir room as we lift praise to God in song. New “worshippers” welcome!

9:00 am & 10:30 am WORSHIP SERVICE IN WORSHIP CENTER - Communion is served during the Worship Services on the 1st Sunday of the month and available to you at 10:10 am in the Prayer Chapel on all the other Sundays. 

9:00 am CHILDREN SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES for all “Village Kids” Nursery 0-4yrs; PreK–2ND. 3rd – 5th.

10:30 am CHILDREN’S CHURCH Nursery 0-4 yrs., K–5TH Oasis, and SUNDAY SCHOOL 6TH-8TH D-Group Room, 9TH-12TH in the Library.

     11:00 am – 1:00 pm  KniTTogether Ministry:  Knit or crochet hats for the community.

6:00-7:30 pm MEN’S BIBLE STUDY “Through the Bible” led by Joe Avila in the Conference Rm.

6:00-7:30 pm INTENTIONAL DISCIPLESHIP FOR WOMEN Tuesday evening, in the Chapel Prayer Room adjacent to the kitchen. 

6:00-7:30 pm INTENTIONAL DISCIPLESHIP FOR MEN: “My Identity In Christ” in the Fellowship Hall.

Apr 10-During Praise & Prayer Woody will conduct a Journey Wall exercise where everyone will put up post-it notes on a timeline to represent blessings, challenges, and conflicts.

in being a delegate or attending.

May 2-National Day of Prayer observance at Cooper Chapel at 11:00 am. 

May 4- Women’s Ministry event “Jesus, Me, and Spring Tea” from 11:00 to 1:00 in the Fellowship Hall.

May 12-Mother’s Day

May 17- Blood drive from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall.
