LifeGroup Guide for Week 06/04/23-06/10/23:

1 John 4:7-21

Get Started:  Option Ice-Breaker to get the group on the same page & everyone participating:
Each one in the group answer these questions – What do you love to eat when you are on vacation, but rarely eat if you’re not on vacation? 

Focus in:  Have someone from the group Read aloud the passage of 1 John 4:7-21 while the rest of the group listens or reads along silently.

Pray: Group leader take a moment to pray aloud to ask the Holy Spirit among us to unveil more of His great love to each one of us in this LifeGroup through this passage and discussion.

Discussion Questions:
. What stood out to you about John’s writings on God’s Love?
. Looking at Verse 7, where does the writer say that love comes from?
. How does God show His love for us?
. Personally, how has God shown His love for you?
.  Looking at Verse 13, by what have we come to know that God abides in us? 

.  Re-read aloud Vss. 18; Discuss how focusing on God’s love helps us cope with our fears.

.  Why do we love?  (Vs. 19)

Pray: 

End in Prayer (optional: split into men group & women group for this if time allows)
. Consider sharing for prayer a fear you’ve struggled with.  Have someone in the group ask the Lord to reveal more of His love to you over your situation.

.  End by thanking the Lord for the Love He’s shown to you over your life.
.  Ask the Lord for His help to increase His love output flowing through your hands into others’ lives.
