ANNOUNCEMENTS

STEVE AND MIRIAM EDLIN AND THEIR PILGRIM’S WAY (AKA STILL WATERS) MINISTRY PARTNER, MIKE BOWDEN, will be visiting and presenting their ministry to VBC on Wednesday, January 11th at 6:30 pm in Worship Center during Praise and Petitions. After meeting with the Missions Board at 4:30 PM and attending the Pot Bless meal at 5:30 PM, they will share information about their retreat center in Buchanan, MI, their mission, and their project needs for which two VBC work project teams (yet to be formed and led by Deb and Mike Rosell) plan to undertake this Spring. You will be sure to be encouraged and enlightened, and your attending will be an encouragement to Steve, Miriam and Mike. 

THE BECKNERS WILL BE SHARING ABOUT THEIR MINISTRY IN THAILAND ON JANUARY 18TH.  During Praise & Petitions at 6:30 pm. Their ministry is for at-risk children (human trafficking). 

JANUARY IS HUMAN TRAFFICKING AWARENESS MONTH. The VBC CORE team is hosting a Prayer Vigil at Mildred B. Cooper Community Chapel on January 24th, at 10:00am. At the chapel, we will be seeking God, through prayer, to lead us in bringing awareness to our community of this disgrace. We're encouraging area churches, law enforcement officials and community representatives to be a part of this service. Please join us for a time of prayer.

ATTENTION ALL WOMEN:  If you are a believer who desires to become more like Jesus, you are invited to join us as we engage in a year-long adventure in Intentional Discipleship, Tuesday evenings in the VBC Fellowship Hall from 6-7:30 pm beginning January 24th. The first meeting will introduce the study method, the topics, and the offerings for 2023. The first study session will be the following Tuesday, same time and location. GREETERS & USHERS NEEDED - Please consider helping out being a greeter or usher, JUST ONCE A MONTH. This is such an important role in our church and we would really appreciate your help! ALL CHURCH FELLOWSHIP – On Friday, January 13th at 6:30 pm. Bring Snacks to share and table games to play.

KNITTOGETHER PRAISE:  The dedicated ladies who knit or crochet made 615 hats, 16 scarves and 9 lap throws and were distributed to 13 ministries for the year of 2022.  A huge thank-you to each one of you! If anyone is interested in this ministry, come on Tuesday mornings 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. We use knitting looms if you are not into knitting needles, or you can crochet hook.
